This project was initiated in the year 2018 in Gilan Province, Sowme’eh Sara County, in the village of Jadeh Kenar, on a plot of land measuring 2,150 square meters with a built-up area of approximately 500 square meters. The design approach emphasized the economic feasibility of the project, the incorporation of significant architectural elements of Iranian vernacular architecture, particularly that of Gilan Province, elevating the structure to maximize the use of surrounding views and landscapes, and considering the client’s lifestyle. Construction began in early 2019 and was completed by the end of 2021.
A modern and unadulterated interpretation of Gilani architecture, along with the use of its distinctive features, was one of the primary objectives in the design of this project.
– Use of a sloping roof
– Use of a raised foundation (kursi) with part of it serving as the entrance porch
– Utilization of north-south cross ventilation
– Incorporation of narrow, continuous terraces around the building
– Avoidance of disruptive light and wind on the western facade
– Creation of interaction with the surrounding green space
To harmonize the concept and design, the building was designed in such a way that the geometric grid employed in the structure was externally manifested. As a result, the use of exposed concrete and visible structural elements became defining features of this building. To align the idea and design, the building was crafted so that the geometric grid used in the structure was externally expressed.
Consequently, the use of exposed concrete and visible structural elements became hallmark characteristics of this building.
